For the past four years KC Subaru has participated in the annual Scoobies for Boobies fundraiser.

What is Scoobies for Boobies you ask?

"Scoobies for Boobies (SFB) was created in 2008 by a group of like minded – Subaru loving women to promote awareness in the community and to raise money to fund research for a cure. Money raised 2008-2010 was donated to the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.”Starting in 2011, Scoobies for Boobies donated money raised to the Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB). KAB’s mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to the methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, they seek to increase breast cancer awareness among youth people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being."

To date over $47,000+ dollars has been raised through the Scoobies for Boobies fundraising effort. This effort is supported by the Subaru enthusiast community through individual donations and those through sponsorship opportunities.

KC Subaru's Part in Scoobies for Boobies

Of the $47,000+ dollars donated, KC Subaru has contributed $1,045 dollars over the last three years. We are at it again for our fourth year of sponsoring Scoobies for Boobies with a new fundraising goal of $500 or more for this year.

So what does donating to the Scoobies for Boobies effort through KC Subaru do?

By donating through the KC Subaru group sponsorship effort you are helping us achieve nationwide recognition for KC Subaru. It shows we give back not only through local wildlife conservation efforts, group outings and helpful support for local members, but also to national causes. When KC Subaru reaches the goal of $500 we get our logo placed as a sponsor for Scoobies for Boobies both on the t-shirts printed nationwide and their website.

This isn't just about our logo on t-shirts and websites though. It is about being a part of a solution. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Just think, every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, which equates to 12% of women born today being diagnosed in their lifetime. Not just women can get breast cancer, so can men! In 2010 there were 263,070 people diagnosed in America with breast cancer.

Help KC Subaru fight breast cancer by helping us support Team Scoobies for Boobies effort to raise money to help eradicate this nasty cancer through helping Keep A Breast Foundation provide young people with methods of prevention, early detection, and support.

Deadline for donations is October 31st, 2012
    .

All donations are tax deductible as your donation is being made to a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Upon making your donation you will be emailed a receipt via the Stay Classy website that you can use for your taxes to validate your donation.

Goal: $500+ Anything extra over $500 is worth it. Last year we raised $370, which was $70 more than our goal!

To donate through KC Subaru's effort, please visit http://www.stayclassy.org/kcsubaru2012

Merchandise available separate from our group fundraising goal can be found for purchase at http://scoobiesforboobies.org/wp/fundraisers/

All t-shirt and merchandise purchases are considered donations directly to the Scoobies 4 Boobies Team effort and are not a part of KC Subaru's group sponsorship effort.

Thank you everyone who chooses to help support our effort to fight breast cancer!

    8th Semi-Annual Conservation Meet

    October 21st 9:30 to Noon

Location is the Rockey Point Glades

Did you know that since LSS and KCSUBARU started working with KCWildlands, we have worked over 350 man hours? That amounts to $7,000 worth of blood, sweat, rashes, bee stings, crotch rot, scrapes and bruises. Well done gang!

October 21st is a bye week for the Chiefs so Regulators, mount up!

If we have over 20 volunteers show up, we will be giving away free service coupons like we did a few years ago.

Rockey Point is where we had our very first meet so you will be able to see how your hard work changed the Glades over a 3 yr. period.

All are welcome to attend and participate!
