I've heard nothing but the best of this guy. Sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

I can't say how big of an opportunity this is. I only let the best touch my cars . Most people are satisfied with an off the shelf tune but if you want that kick in the but you got from going from stock to stage 1 or stage 1 to stage 2 this is what a protune from the best will do for you. We've been planning this for 5 months and now it can actually happen.

Is there going to be some kind of group rate?

316legacygt
02-15-2012, 11:29 PM
I feel he is very cheap on his price already . Considering i've paid twice as much for tunes. His rate is 300 for a tune and 50 for each additional tune. You are more than welcome to contact him about a kcsubaru price. If you would like his number send me a pm.

Awesome, thanks, I didn't know what his rates were, but that info should suffice.

Thanks for sharing. I'm hopeful to have the new turbo in by then and was planning on going to Plano, but maybe this is a better option. Do you know if he is borrowing someone's dyno or street tuning?

he is doing street tuning... dyno time is expensive . This would cut 5hrs off of your trip :)

His street tunes consistently show faster times at the track than similarly modded dyno tuned cars. Street tunes are better if you are monitoring for everything because you see real life load conditions and not simulated conditions like the dyno provides. It's also going to be safer since the knock you'd actually see on the street is tuned out.

Back when I was tuning, I'd always have to do a street tune after dyno time...there would always be knock that I didn't see on the dyno.

Ok, I'm in. Still waiting on turbo from Garrett, but I'm sure it will come soon and the car will be ready for him. I'll contact him with my information and information on the car.

I just tried to call him to see if he had an idea of when he would be coming thru KC - although I'm guessing on the 14th according to the above post. He didn't answer and his vm was full so I'll try again later.
