Coworker/friend whose brother runs ModifiedKC with Chad recommends Crosslink in KCK. They quoted me 350 blast and coat for matte black.

$350 is a pretty decent price with blasting included. Sand blasting doesnt go as fast as people think and can rack up labor costs pretty quick. I'd bet $150 of that is blasting and the rest for the coating.

And do I assume this place does not mount the tires? need to bring them just the rims? I think if I did powder coat I would need th eplace to be able to dimount the tires and put them back on as well.

No $350 is super bad ass, I have been told like 150-200 per rim by a few people which at that point I would buy new rims.

make sure they use something other than sand on aluminum wheels or you will have some ruint-ass rimz yo.

$600+ for a blast and pc job is nuts. Now if you are talking about a paint job then labor runs up real fast, especially with wheels.

do most of these places dismount the tires and TPS sensors? or do they require you to just bring the rims in?

Bare rims only, they are not tire shops.

Yep, you will need to have them dismounted before you bring them.

Yea well no 2nd set of rims or 2nd car, the time factor doesn't out weigh it, might as well just buy new rims LOL

Industrial coatings did a magnificent job on my wheels. Prices were good too. Take heed of Justin's warning though, I learned the hard way that you don't re-heat Forged rims like the stock BBS's that come on the car. It makes them soft and weak. :(

They sure were pretty though!
