Going the painted route?..Have you thought about the bluebatmobile overlays? Mine are holding great..just had a slight issues with one...same day they were installed it rained, water got into overlay on edge and peeled off alittle, nothing to noticeable from a distance.

I have been also thinking of removing overlays to do the painted but not too sure on how many coats and whether it will come out correct. Have read alot of threads on IWSTi about painting 08/09 tails, some look good and some look foggy

Actually, I've painted mine already but the humidity caused a few spots to be uneven. Looking to professionally paint them as I'm a little worried about how the overlays will hold up in this climate :(

Matt put overlays on the RS we had and they held up fine to the weather and such. Back when I had my CRX I had painted a set of all clear taillights and they looked good at first but I only used one can and after a couple years they began to fade.
