I've been making some exterior mods to my wagon to give it more of an aggressive appearance.

Since I already have an STI intercooler I wanted to make full use of it with the STI scoop instead of my WRX scoop.

The problem I have is that San Remo Red was never a STI color, so anything I get I have to paint to match the car. I do so in my garage with color matched paint I purchased from Ebay.

I bought the Rally blue STI scoop from STInole for cheap since it was cracked. I used plastic adhesive to glue the crack shut, and added a layer of fiberglass underneath for extra support.

now for the pics!

That looks really good. I like the look of the STI version better than the WRX.

I've done the splitters, side skirts and scoop now, and the paint has matched quite well. I've been impressed. Esp. since red fades (you can see it on my side mirrors)

Looks a wee bit different then when I sold it to you. Nice work.

this is a rattle can job from primer to clear. I have a gun, but never used it. its the cheap kind that comes with a compressor.

guess I should have let the paint cure a bit more. I took it out for a short spin to lowes and came back an noticed a tiny bubble had formed. I popped it with a razor blade. I'll rebuff later but I wonder how the heat will affect this down the road. good thing its not a show queen!
