I currently have JDM Bridgestone Potenza RE070 18" 235/40 Tires on my white RA-R wheels right now, unfortunately I found out today If I wanted to replace them with the same rubbers I would have to pay $500 each tire!!!!
that is two Gs for a set!!!!! on top of that I am not sure if I can even get them anymore as they are mail ordered from japan. Does anyone have any recommendations for some nice grippy rubbers of that size that wont bankrupt me? I have been told that he RE-11s are good but Id like some suggestions.
thanks

This thread pretty well answers your question.

If you want the best, RE-11's are the way to go. We took the re-01R which, tested by tire rack themselves, out preformed the Dunlop Starspec and improved upon it quite a bit. I have watched several videos that Bridgestone sent out with some other training material that showed the small, but very important improvements. Look what the national SCCA guys are running. That should speak for itself. Let me know if you want a price quote. I can get one tomorrow for you.
