A can of R-134a with the fill hose is about $22 at Wal-Mart after taxes.

To start, unscrew the cap on your refrigerant line coming out of the compressor. Take a small screw driver and push in on the pin to see if there is pressure in the line. If not, she needs charged.

1) Unscrew the cap on the port of the low pressure line, marked "L" (behind your intercooler unless your drive one of those NA things)

2) Hook up your can and check the pressure.

3) Start the car with your A/C on max.

4) Find something to do for 3 minutes while your system builds up pressure.

If youre still not in the blue, its time to spray some freon in. I shut the car off at this point because its mid 90s here and the heat coming off the engine was too much for me.

5) Shake it up baby

6) Hook it back up.

7) Hold the can upright, press the button. Shake the can every couple of seconds, also tilt it back and forth 90 degrees while spraying. (couldnt get a picture, but you should get the idea)

8- When you get to around this point, turn the car back on if you shut it off like I did.

9) Make sure your compressor is spinning, if not, you got bigger problems.

10) When youre in the blue, you should be cooling. Unhook charging system, replace cap, etc...

11) Enjoy driving in the heat with your windows UP!!!
