After fighting to get the turbo hose back onto the compressor outlet for like an hour and a half. I then realized it is much easier to slip on the throttle body tube and clamp it down first. Once this has been accomplished take a long thick flat head screw driver and use the plastic lip sticking out of the turbo outlet hose to gently apply pressure from the inter cooler outlet piping to aid in wiggling the hose back onto the compressor housing. Would have saved tons of time considering to do this by yourself is a bit of a challenge.

oh I miss the OEM y-pipe and the built in tab on the turbo end...

I want to put an STI intercooler in the stock WRX's place here pretty soon. I think the capacity is about 15% bigger. So a little bit more cooler air wouldn't hurt.

+1 although I've found the Samco a little more forgiving even without out it. at least compared to trying to get the stock one on without using the tab ('cause I did pretty much the same thing before I realized what that tab was for lol)

hooking up a y-pipe without a tab with an oversized TMIC is a pain. My OEM y-pipe was too short for my TMIC, so I got a mishimoto silicone y-pipe. I have to wrap my left arm and hand around and behind the TMIC and jam it in past the turbo in order to work the y-pipe opening over the turbo while pushing on the y-pipe to the turbo with my right hand. Fun stuff.

I feel you on that one the fighting that hose back onto the turbo comp. outlet is a real knuckle buster

Great help
