Welcome aboard! It is nice to see a new sponsor come into the fold.

I suggest as a great form of advertising you perform a full tint job on my 98 Subaru Forester for free. This would get the idea out there that you all are fully awesome.

Welcome to the site!

This summer I had Midwest Tinting (Lee's Summit location) do my mom's Outlander. Great work, service, and price.

I've also had work done at the Independence location many years ago, and have a friend that had a good experience at the Overland Park shop. So you really can't go wrong with these guys.

I've had two cars, including the STi, tinted at the OP location and have been happy. STi tint is doing well 7+ years later.

Is there a tint option between 20 and 35. One is too dark, the other way too light.

There is normally a 30% option available.

I will be getting ahold of you guys soon. My 5 percent rear windows lasted 5 years untill one state trooper thinks it's too dark lol. Needless to say I had to take if off, he said in a few weeks if I didn't take care of it he could arrest me WTF it's just tint lol. Any way I need to get my back three windows tinted again, legal this time.

Thanks Tim I loved it dark! But I made a deal with my wife if I retint it will have to be legal in ks.

And I've been really tempted to go darker on my tint...

I got my last tint job done in Missouri, where I'm told it was legal in MO. But I guess KS is 35 percent all the way around

Hope your experience with Midwest Tinting was satisfactory! I'm anxious to see a pic of the new tint :) Also, curious on the wife's reaction,..always best to include the other half :) so I'm sure she appreciated the consideration ! Hope you are happy with the 35%, it really isn't too light, still blocks heat, adds privacy, reduces sun and glare, etc. Thanks for choosing Midwest, we greatly appreciate your business!

(shaking her head) lol what did we just talk about lol! haha, no you do whatever you like with the tint, it's personal preference and everyone has different factors they are trying to achieve. :)

Thanks for having us ;)

sorry for the delayed response! my apologies. Yes, Midwest Tinting offers a 32% in our Ultimate film, this is set apart from our traditional smoked charcoal appearance though, being a fully metalized film, your windows will look reflective, almost grayish silver due to its' materials. It's a beautiful film, check out more www.midwesttinting.com. Select, Premium and Elite are 35, 20, 15 and 5%. Any combination would look great and still achieve what you are trying to accomplish. Call us direct or stop in any of our 3 convenient locations today to check out our displayed films! Thanks for your inquiry!

remove and reapply? to start, removing film can be quite a process, we start price anywhere from $60-120, it totally depends on the tint, labor entailed, etc. To give you a better quote, could you swing by our shop so one of our professional installers to take a quick look? Or, call us direct 816-525-5256, set your appointment to save the trip, and at that time we can have a consultation and give a better estimate. Can I also ask why your thinking of removing the tint that's on there?

WOW lol, ya geez sorry for the hassle, you'd think they'd be more concerned with more important issues that plague our society.

Do you guys still employ the short dude with the goatee at the LS location?

I was a long-time customer (6-7 cars) of the tint shop you guys bought from Dave in LS, and promptly never returned after dealing with that idiot.

That is good to hear. At this point, it's water under the bridge, as I live in Springfield and likely won't ever end up back in KC. But, I am happy you ditched that guy and happy I won't have to give the thumbs down to your shop anymore. The tint was fine and I never had any issues with it; that guy was just not polite and didn't care about retaining customers at all. Glad y'all have moved past him. Good luck with future business and thanks for supporting the KC Subaru community.
